Next Planet is a Chicago-based band that delivers songs that travel far and hit deep.  2025 will see the release of their debut full-length album, Star-Crossed, which takes listeners on an evocative journey, blending passion, heart, and ambitious compositions.  They released an EP in 2020, Safe Travels, but their work together connects them through several prior releases as well.

The band is fronted by Scott Fischer—a dynamic songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist also known for his work with the international Frank Zappa tribute act The Furious Bongos—who started working with Rick Lyons on guitar, Tim Gavin on drums and Andy Sviatko on bass back in their previous outfit, Fischer’s Flicker.

With a sound characterized by memorable guitar solos, rich musical storytelling, and memorable melodies, Next Planet’s music is as adventurous as it is emotionally resonant.
