The 4Spiel String Quartet is the heart of the Chicago-based 4Spiel performer collective. The 4Spielers love doing shows with singers, and for this show, they’ll be featuring one of Chicago’s finest jazz artists, the great Cheryl Wilson. Together, they will present a special pre-Valentine’s meditation on “Love.” The string quartet consists of violinists Carmen Llop Kassinger and Lisa Fako, violist Monica Reilly, and cellist Margaret Daley. While these musicians are regularly found performing in the usual Chicago classical music haunts (Chicago Symphony, Lyric Opera, Grant Park Symphony, Ravinia Festival), they are much more diverse. For example, Kassinger has performed with Led Zeppelin, Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez, Diana Ross, Cheap Trick, Brian Wilson, Rod Stewart, Seal, and Elvis Costello. Daley is working on a Cantata for Stand-Up Comic and String Quartet.
