Cox’s Army is a Chicago based Bluegrass band founded in 2016. The band features Laird Patten (Banjo), Jon Williams (Mandolin, Vocal), Jack Campbell (Bass, Vocal), and bandleader Chuck Cox (Guitar, Vocal). The band plays a mix of traditional Bluegrass favorites, and original songs written within the traditional form. The original material comes straight out of lives led in Chicago, as well as family history from lands where Bluegrass originated. The group has just completed its first full length album, “Green Eyed Train”, for release in Summer 2018.
