Life is a fairy tale… or is it? Join Carly and friends as they climb up the beanstalk and tell stories of life’s prince charmings and ogres.
Hey Nonny’s first sell-out was our first Café Carly cabaret show — featuring Chicago’s most talented young musical theater performers, wrangled into a uniquely themed show by hometown girl (and former NYC cabaret performer) Carly Stocking. Every Café Carly presents different songs, performers, and jokes, but every one is a polished, high-energy songfest for delighted crowds.
Carly Stocking is an Arlington Heights native and received her BFA in Acting from Illinois Wesleyan University. She has performed across the US, spending five years in New York City producing, directing, and performing in cabarets. When not performing on stage, she is co-owner of the Arlington Heights-based children’s theatre company Setting the Stage and also runs a vintage clothing shop.
Maya Rowe is thrilled to be returning to HeyNonny for yet another enchanted evening! On this stage in the past she has thrown french fries, seduced Carly & rejected Neil Stratman all in the same night. She was most recently seen as Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre and is looking forward to continuing to bring comedy back into a world that so desperately needs it right now. All the love to this incredible venue, its perpetually invigorating audience and, of course, the amazing performers she gets to share the stage with.
“Neil Stratman’s voice is a fairy tale!” – Celia Stratman.
“Neil’s voice is fine.” – Everyone else.
Neil Stratman assures you that his performance tonight will be somewhere within the spectrum quoted above. HIs most recent performances include I Miss My Lover But Don’t Ask Me About It: the farce, Silent Poops – My Roommate Never Leaves the audiobook, and the world premiere of Cat: a one-man Cats Review for my Cat, performed in his esteemed living room. Having abandoned social media, either ask Carly for his phone number or follow his updates at neilstratman.com.
