About the Artist

We had been doing our” Tribute To Dave Brubeck” for a while and after Chick Corea passed we found out how close he and Dave Brubeck were and how much they both admired each other. Chick Corea had even written a tune “Waltz For Dave.” Their families often hung out together and Chick was the Brubeck family’s favorite pianist. Chick authored the liner notes to the first Brubeck Family recording and even went out of his way to re-route a tour so he could perform a salute to Dave at the Dave Brubeck Memorial concert. This gave us the impetus to include Chick Corea’s music in our tribute to Brubeck.

Our group features some of Chicago’s finest musicians, who have performed across the U.S. and Internationally.
