About Lunar Ash:
Chicago band Lunar Ash is singing songs of soulful exploration, a return to nature and confrontations to power in the style of indie rock. What started out as a solo project of guitarist and vocalist Ash Stewack, found its true form as a five-piece band filled out by Katie Steele on bass, Kenna Hynes on keys and violin, Johnny Fabrizio on guitar, and Evan Loritsch on percussion and atmosphere. Their lush tunes are full of Stewack’s tender-hearted lyrics that blend Americana, rock, and folk, among other genres, into a frank, easy sound that she beautifully sums up as “indie whimsy”.
For Lunar Ash, the project is an outlet to find ways to celebrate a deeper connection to the world around us, to challenge social norms, and where detachment and division loom - to cultivate unity and inter-connection with music.
About Empty Heaven:
Empty Heaven is a 6-piece band from Chicago, helmed by Anthony Sanders. Considering it started as a bedroom project, things have taken a massive sonic turn over the last 2 years. Their sound is dynamic, unpredictable, and meant to walk you across the spectrum of emotion. Both their recordings and live shows veer from whispers to screams. Currently touring off of last year's Swear, their setlists are couching that record's post-hardcore sound in gentler, stranger musical ideas, blending mystery into the intensity.
