Juli Wood is a saxophonist, vocalist and composer who has made a name for herself on Chicago’s music scene over the past two decades. With four albums as a leader, several studio projects as a side man and countless performances worldwide, Juli is a solid, swinging and entertaining performer. She has graced the stages of jazz clubs and festivals across the globe, including the Chicago Jazz Fest, Skansen Jazz and Blues in Stockholm, and Pori Jazz Fest in Finland. In her latest recording, “5 4 3 2 1 Juli Wood,” she showcases her love for the saxophone, drawing inspiration from saxophonists who were also great vocalists.
