Journey Through Black American Music is a 75-90 minute storytelling musical experience presented by Alysha Monique about the inception of black music and its transformation through the years; beginning from its roots, through the years and into today’s music.

On February 23, Alysha Monique & The Family Divine will carry you through an exploration of the diverse, impactful, enchanting and captivating evolution through Black American music. This show consists of segments from the early roots Black American music like: Gospel, Jazz & Blues to the newest forms like Hip Hop, R&B and NeoSoul. This show has been performed to educational & corporate institutions to enrich the communities about the origins of Black American music which is a firmament of Black American History.
