Chicago based Soul outfit, The Heavy Sounds, will join Renaldo Domino for a very special night of classic Soul music. One of the unsung heroes of Chicago Soul, Renaldo recorded a string of amazing songs in the later part of the 60’s and early 70’s. Tunes such as “Not Too Cool To Cry”, “Nevermore”, and “I’ll Get You Back” showcase his “sweet like Domino sugar” voice and have regained popularity due to the 2008 Numero Group compilation Eccentric Soul: Twinight’s Lunar Rotation. Catch Renaldo singing these tunes as well as other incredible originals and classic Soul hits. The Heavy Sounds will open the night with an instrumental set of Soul and Funk that is sure to keep you moving.
