Cousin is a collaboration between two treasured Chicago artists: Maggie Vagle and Brendan Forrest. And yes, Maggie and Brendan are indeed cousins!

The inception of Cousin has been a long time coming as the relationship between the two artists dates back over ten years.  The project came into fruition in March of last year, during the onset of the COVID 19 pandemic. Their debut self titled EP is scheduled to release on  March 20 2021, the spring equinox.

The two bring together their unique songwriting abilities, backgrounds and inspirations to create Cousin. The sounds range from r&b, electronic beats and hip hop to old time traditions like bluegrass, blues, and folk. In the age of blurring the lines that define genres, Cousin is a sign of the times.
