About the Artist

The Way Down Wanderers, an Alternative Americana band hailing from Peoria, Illinois, have carved a niche in the music scene with their unique blend of bluegrass, folk, and roots music. Formed in 2014 by founder Austin Thompson. The band quickly garnered attention for their high-energy performances and tight harmonies. The group’s lineup also includes John Merikoski on drums, Sam Peters on bass, Sammy Hinrichsen on guitar, and Travis Kowalsky on banjo, fiddle, and mandolin.
